2016 Milawa & Oxley FOX RUN

Can you Catch the Fox?
Get ahead of the pack with Early Bird registration now open

Join the families from Milawa & Oxley Primary Schools for the 2016 Milawa & Oxley FOX RUN on 22 October at the  Oxley Recreation Reserve. Tickets on sale now  www.foxrun.org.au.

Early Bird sales available until August 12th.
A larger event committee is building on the success of last year’s event, known as the Milawa Oxley Mud Run & Family Day. A shared vision this year will see

  • A change in name; to reflect more closely what the event offers.
  • A new location; to align with another local non-profit organisation
  • An earlier date; for better race conditions.

This family focused event will include a course of mud, obstacles and colour and will offer a range of challenges for all ages and fitness levels. Along with the Sportsmans Warehouse 2.5km and Milawa Bread 5km obstacle races, this year will see the introduction of the Insite Real Estate 7.5km race, three gruelling circuits of the 2.5km course.  The Brown Brothers 107m Gift sprint race will again have excellent prize money on offer to the amateur runners.
There will be a festival atmosphere with a large range of kids activities including Trixie the Clown, jumping     castle, fox runs, sack races, AFL sports area, BlueEarth, face painting and so much more. A variety of food and    beverages will also be available from 8.30am and other stalls onsite for participants and spectators alike until 2pm. The climax of the event will be the inaugural FOX DROP, where 200 toy foxes will be dropped from the sky by helicopter, closest fox to the target wins $1000 CASH voucher.

The Oxley Recreation Reserve is the ideal location with a mix of natural beauty, existing obstacles and space to develop new obstacles. The course will include muddy commando crawls, tire climbs and run, jumps, hay bale climb, a bigger and better mud slide, swamp runs and colour stations. There are some fantastic prizes to be won in every event for best dressed, catching the fox, finding the hidden fox and other spot prizes, plus all finishers in the fox run’s receive a medal for their efforts. All surplus proceeds from this collaboration will go directly to Milawa and Oxley Primary Schools to build better outcomes for the students.
