Green Thumbs Garden Group
On Wednesday April 13th we went to Lindy and Matt Roberts beautiful alpine garden at Upper Rose River. The magnificient 1927’s homestead is surrounded by a park of deciduous trees of varying ages. Some are known to be 40 years old, and some are much older. Recent plantings include Portugese Laurels, espaliered fruit trees and a productive vegetable garden. Garden ornaments included wire pears and a serviceable and decorative garden seat made solely from discarded horse shoes.
Thank you, Matt and Lindy for a lovely morning.
On Thursday June 9th we go to Kath Whites at 357 Oxley—Greta West Road. Turn left off Wang—Whitfield Rd onto Alexanders land and left again onto Oxley Greta West Road.
We meet a 10am and everyone is welcome.
